Studio Practice

Explorations in draping and sculptural textile form.
Studies investigate movement, volume, and silhouette through hand-draped fabric.

These studies form the foundation of my approach to garment development, where draping becomes a tool to explore silhouette, proportion, and material behavior before translating ideas into collection-ready designs.

Inspired by the work of Richard Tuttle: I Don’t Know. The Weave of Textile Language

Inspired by the work of Richard Tuttle, this project explores the relationship between textile structure, language, and form. Referencing ideas presented in his I Don’t Know: The Weave of Textile Language exhibition at the Tate Modern, the piece investigates how humble materials, light, and drape can transform textiles into expressive spatial compositions.

Bio-inspired textile explorations using 3D printed structures as form studies.
A custom developed 3d printed swatch informed the translation of dimensional geometry into soft garment silhouette. Software: Rhinoceros 3D/ Ultimaker 3d Printer
